What is retinography?

Retinography is a technique used in medicine to obtain high-resolution images of the retina. It is a simple, useful, safe and very comfortable test for the patient.

Once taken, an ophthalmologist specialising in the retina reviews the images and produces a report assessing the presence of any anomalies.

Diseases we can detect

Diabetic Retinopathy

The most common diabetic eye disease. It occurs when the blood vessels in the retina change and can cause vision loss that is often irreversible.

AMD

Age-related Macular Degeneration. An eye disease caused by damage or deterioration of the macula, leading to vision loss.

Hypertensive Retinopathy

Changes in the retina caused by high blood pressure. It helps estimate the severity of changes in other organs.

Glaucoma

A disease usually caused by increased intraocular pressure that leads to progressive vision loss by damaging the optic nerve.
